STILLNESS AND ENDURANCE WAS ALMOST UNBEARABLE FOR ME
It all started with my curiosity and need for exercise in some form. This energy shaped my childhood in a large family in the Black Forest in Germany, and I often encountered a lack of understanding for this necessity.
TO KNOW WHERE SOMETHING COMES FROM AND WHY IT IS THAT WAY AND IF THERE IS RESISTANCE, TO FIND OUT WHETHER IT COULD BE SOMEHOW TREATED?
IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT THE TRUTHNESS OF THE HUMAN BEING
Studying Rhythmik at the Folkwang University of the Arts (Essen, Germany) fed my thirst for knowledge with impressions, and the joy and curiosity of movement allowed me to experience different forms of it. The variety of possibilities of body movement and discovering it through improvisation brought me to the École Lecoq in Paris. There I learned that despite all the diversity in the game, it is always about the truthfulness of people. The wild side of me was tamed, but I still had room to further develop my own personality: “ça bouge” – was Monsieur Lecoq’s economical remark.
I have taught improvisation and group physical training at various facilities and as a physical trainer I have worked with many different clients. I often came across inexplicable blockages that prevented or made improvements difficult.
In addition, emotions that seemed to be buried in my clients’ bodies continued to surface, sometimes unintentionally.
WE UNPLANNINGLY ENDED UP ON THE ISLAND OF FUERTEVENTURA
I met my husband. Being on a desert island and reduced to myself kept my inquiring mind active. Surrounded by the sea, I discovered the fascinating possibilities of moving on and in the water. Our lively little daughter accompanied us through these years. We built a house, and what started as a “fuzzy feeling” led me to explore Feng Shui and learn from Asian masters.
The feeling now had a metaphysical background: the energy movement in the house can be calculated and used in a targeted manner. With BaZi I also learned a different perspective on the energies that influence oneself: knowing that my Day Master is ‘Ren’ (Yang Water) finally explained my inherent need for movement.
I continued to teach physical and water training. I finally got an answer to my question about how emotions and feelings can be connected to the body: I received training as a regression therapist with Hans TenDam and Marion Boon (TASSO international). Now I had an effective tool at hand to help people understand and resolve the blockages in their bodies. A guide to finding your own path in a self-determined way.
CANTIENICA® method
I came across a book about the CANTIENICA® method and while reading it, the rotational movements in the water came to my mind. Diving into the depths of the body, bones and joints. Naturally, I was eager to take on this training adventure. The method provides an understanding of how movement is connected in the body and how its biomechanics work. It shows people a way back into a pain-free body and to be able to live in it with ease again.
If working with a client requires it, I can combine regression therapy and the CANTIENICA® method as needed, reflecting my deep belief in the close connection between body and soul: the body is never your enemy; but sometimes the soul uses it to point out necessary corrections.
AND IT ALWAYS GOES ON
There is no end in sight to this journey because everything we have learned is logically linked to one another. Paths expand or converge again.
I take great pleasure in drawing on my wealth of knowledge to find solutions for my clients.
